"Uncle Mike" Rose
Club Head Coach
Uncle Mike has been the head coach for South Davis Water Polo since 2013. Previous to being every players favorite Uncle, he was the head coach for the New Zealand National Boys Team and the Church HS Head Coach in New Zealand. Mike played HS water polo and rugyby.
Matt Chamberlain is a member of the Masters Swim Team. He was a member of swim teams in college and in high school, was a member of collegiete club water polo teams and high school water polo teams. Many of his swim records have yet to be broken. Matt has multiple children playing for the club.
Grade School / Splashball Coach
Kat started playing water polo in 2016 after being a spectator for 6 years. In 2017 she started coaching the Jr. High team during the fall league.
Club Manager / Grade School and Splash Ball Coach
James has been with the club since 2011. As of the Spring of 2017, all five of his children will be club members. Two in splashball, two in varsity and one in JV. James currently plays masters water polo and played HS water for Dana Hill HS in Southern California.
Brian is a former H.S. water polo player. His oldest son plays for the club on the Jr. High and JV teams.
Varsity Specialist Coach
Tom is currently a coach for the South Davis Masters Swim Team. He is also a former HS and college water polo player and swimmer. Tom has also coached HS water polo in Oregon.
12U / 10U Coach
Coach Elizabeth comes from a long line of coaches. It is in her blood and DNA. All of her three children have played or are still playing water polo for the South Davis Water Polo Club. Coach Elizabeth coaches the 12U and 10U teams in the fall, and assists Head Coach Uncle Mike during the Spring Season with our Jr. High and H.S. age group teams.
Assistant 10U Coach
John, a former High School water polo player, began coaching with the South Davis Water Polo club in 2018 after his fourth child joined the club. Water polo is a multi-generational sport and we love it when former players now coach their own children.
